“ Located just over 7 miles East of Gun Lake Casino near Yankee Springs State Park. This is a must visit place. Usually very busy in the summer season. Great food and drinks. Nice outdoor seating area. Seafood selections have always been excellent. We always visit at least once when camping and several times a year for a change of pace. ”
“ Similar to many Lake establishments, nice scenery and casual atmosphere. Great place to visit during the summer time on your way to or from the lake or on your way to or from a motorcycle ride. The food is decent the few times I've been there the staff are polite friendly and I've never had an issue the few times I've been there. ”

“ TLDR: A super convenient place to get decent food and drinks after a day on the lake! This was the second time I’ve visited Sand Bar with friends. We started off with an old fashioned, a Long Island iced tea, and a regular iced tea . We ordered the CRAB RANGOON DIP (Served with crispy won-ton chips)- I remember thinking that these chips were the best won ton chips I’ve ever had with an appetizer at any place! So good! The dip was very tasty. For mains, I ordered the SHRIMP & GRITS (Smoked gouda grits and blackened shrimp). The grits were so good and cheesy without being over the top, and the shrimp were cooked perfectly to my liking. I generally take a box home with leftovers, but I ate all of this . My friend ordered some sort of chicken dinner that isn’t on the menu, so I’m assuming it was a special, but she DEVOURED it (much like I did with the shrimp and grits ) so I’m assuming she thought it satisfactory. We also ordered one of the smash burgers: TIGER BURGER (Sauteed peppers, onions, jalapenos, hot sauce and provolone cheese). While the flavor was good, I heard complaints that this was not a smash burger- it was a very thick piece of meat, which took away from the overall experience. When you think you’re ordering one thing, and the thing that arrives isn’t that thing, it’s a bit disappointing. The last main ordered was the KABOB BUCKET (Six skewers of meat: Chicken, Steak and Shrimp. Served with grilled peppers, onions, mushrooms, tomatoes, and rice.) My friend really enjoyed it. Overall, this is a nice, convenient place to eat and/or drink with indoor and outdoor seating, attentive service and decent fare. ”
